August Music with Ana & Eric
We’re thrilled to have Ana & Eric join us on Thursday August 13th! Ana & Eric blend folk, bossa nova, and Brazilian popular music into a sound that is both intimate and rhythmically vibrant. Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, the duo has performed widely across Brazil, Europe, and Canada. Life in Newfoundland has deeply shaped their music. The landscape, local culture, and collaborations influence their songwriting, while their Brazilian roots bring distinctive rhythms, harmonies, and lyrical expression. The result is a unique sonic landscape that balances the storytelling intimacy of folk with the dynamic pulse of Brazilian traditions.
Their work has been recognized with multiple accolades: Ana Luisa Ramos won the 2025 ECMA Award in the Global Music category, and the duo received nominations for the 2023 ECMA Global Release of the Year, three 2023 MusicNL Awards, one 2021 ECMA nomination, and three 2021 MusicNL nominations.
Currently, Ana & Eric are preparing their second full-length album, Older than Sadness, which further explores cross-cultural music-making, weaving folk and rock traditions with Brazilian rhythms to create a richly textured sound.
Send us a message, give the shop a call, or drop by to grab tickets ahead of time. We’ll have snacks and drinks available too!
August Music with Avalon Stanley
Our second music night in August! On Saturday August 22nd, Avalon Stanley will join us at the Coffee Shop. Avalon Stanley is the musical alter-ego of award winning actor, Darryl Hopkins. With his roots stemming firmly from Trinity Bay, he’s performed internationally to sold out audiences. Armed with his trusty acoustic guitar and portable pump organ, his songs speak to the sublime nature of the human experience, and the beauty, therein.
Send us a message, give the shop a call, or drop by to grab tickets ahead of time. We’ll have snacks and drinks available too!
Fall Market on September 20th
